Nights and Sights

(revised April 12, 2000)

Using Rand McNally's Trip Maker, I have laid out my Millennium Motorcycle tour or Y2K C2C - Coast to Coast and return. The purpose of this section is to provide our overnight destinations and a list of the attractions we most likely would be stopping at during the day. This is provided so you some indication as to where to meet up with us. This chart includes as much specific information as I can on the facility (camp ground for instance) with location, phone numbers, etc. Once I am on the road, I will post any revisions in the Trip Log.

Please comment on any of the campsites or other items, that we have selected. They were, in most cases, taken from Trip Maker or from AAA/CAA travel accommodation booklets. If you or anyone knows of a better site or camp ground we'd love to hear from you. In most cases the ones selected seemed to be in interesting areas and at about the end of the days travel AND because they had a shower.

Also, we invite clubs and individuals to please provide information on sites of interest in their area and to come ride with us, we love local tour guides. Please remember we do want to see as much as we can and we are lucky to have 6 weeks for the trip and that we do not have 3 months (at this stage in our life). Elapsed time for this millennium Y2K C2C trip is just over 30 riding days (197 hours and 13 minutes) to cover the approximately 15,000 km and we have 44 days so we'd like to see some things and meet some people as we make this once in a life time Y2K motorcycle tour.
